eToro has continued to expand its presence in the sports sponsorship field, by signing SBV Vitesse for one season.
July 28, 2021, | AtoZ Markets – eToro, a multi-asset investment platform, announced that it has significantly expanded its football sports sponsorships, by launching twelve new sponsorship deals with SBV Vitesse (Stichting Betaald Voetbal Vitesse).
The launch of the new sponsorships is part of the trading provider’s plan to expand its investment in football clubs across Europe. Already, eToro is one of Europe’s biggest football club sponsors, especially in the Forex trading space.
eToro Adds SBV Vitesse to sports sponsorships
Under the expansion, eToro will be extending its partnerships with SBV Vitesse for one season, with an option for another year and “with the express intention to make it a long-term partnership,” according to the company’s statement, seen by AtoZ Markets.
The presented home shirt of Vitesse is yellow-black stripes, featuring the eToro logo. Other sponsors of the club have been moved from the shoulders to the sleeves.
Commenting on the sports sponsorships, Nir Smulewicz, Vice President of Marketing at eToro said in the statement:
“We are delighted to be partnering with Vitesse. The Dutch market is a key one for eToro and through this partnership we hope to empower more people to understand the importance of long-term investing and diversification to grow their wealth.”
eToro is originally an Israeli brokerage that was founded in 2007. Currently, the trading platform is located in Cyprus, United Kingdom, United States, and Australia. The company has more than 20 million users from more than 100 countries and represented a value of 2.1 billion euros in 2020.
In the field of ‘social investing’, eToro claims to be the largest worldwide. Users have the option to invest in different ways and can share their knowledge and ideas with each other through the platform.
