Trading Hours Changes Due to 4th July US Independence Day


01 July, 2020, | AtoZ Markets – The United States will celebrate Independence Day on July 4 (Saturday). Major US exchanges close early Fridays and close Saturdays to celebrate Independence Day. After independence day on Sunday, even if trading is expected to be lighter, it will return to normal time.

There are some changes to the trading hours due to Independence Day. The updated trading schedule is as follows and all times are given in GMT +0.

  • Closes at: 17:00 03/07/2020 – Re-opens at 22:00 05/07/2020

US Stocks

  • Closes at: 19:45 02/07/2020 – Re-opens at 13:40 06/07/2020

XAUUSD, XAGUSD, XPTUSD, XPDUSD

  • Closes at: 17:00 03/07/2020 – Re-opens at 22:05 05/07/2020

UKOIL

  • Closes at: 17:00 03/07/2020 – Re-opens at 00:10 06/07/2020

USOIL

  • Closes at: 17:00 03/07/2020 – Re-opens at 22:10 05/07/2020

JP225

  • Closes at: 17:00 03/07/2020 – Re-opens at 22:00 05/07/2020

UK100

  • Closes at: 17:00 03/07/2020 – Re-opens at 22:00 05/07/2020

Other trading instruments may become less liquid during this period. Spreads may be wider than usual, and volatility may increase due to fewer liquidity providers pricing during this period.
