EthereumMax (EMAX) appeared about a month ago and is traded on Uniswap and 1inch decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges. At the time of writing, altcoin is ranked 2575 in the CoinMarketCap rating with a daily trading volume of $34.4 million.
EthereumMax was also used to sell tickets for the Mayweather-Paul duel. The two front row seats were sold exclusively for altcoin.
For purchases over $5,000 using EMAX, viewers received autographed Mayweather boxing gloves. Among all buyers for EthereumMax, tickets to the official afterparty were raffled off.
An altcoin ad also appeared in Times Square in New York.
How cool is this?! An early holder in eMax donated a billboard in Times Square to eMax because they did so well with the token, and this was their way of showing their appreciation and saying thanks. WOW what a ‘token’ of appreciation! Our community is second to none, THANK YOU! pic.twitter.com/dpHkceNSiK— EthereumMax (@ethereum_max) June 6, 2021
The fight at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami ended after the allotted eight rounds without announcement of judges’ decisions. The fight was an exhibition fight, where the only way to win was knockout.
In 2017, Mayweather promoted the initial coin offering (ICO) of the Stox predictive market analytics project. Two years later, the investor accused the blockchain platform and its founder Moshe Hogeg of misuse of more than $4.6 million .
In 2018, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) fined Mayweather $614,775 for promoting the Centra Tech ICO. The boxer did not admit or deny the accusations of the regulator, but agreed to pay the illegally received income, fine and interest.
Prior to this, the Florida court recognized the project token as a security. The founders of Centra Tech were accused of defrauding investors . In 2020, one of them received a year in prison.
Recall that in early May, Mayweather announced the release of a collection of non-fungible tokens ahead of the fight against Paul. The collection includes memorabilia, artwork and animation.
