24 July, 2020 | AtoZ Markets – Unlicensed companies continue to drive fraudulent investments and steal money from the public. Some fraudsters also pretend to be a licensed or regulated entity. Scammers typically promote stocks, real estate, or other investment opportunities and sell non-tradable, valueless, overpriced, or nonexistent assets. But, FCA is issuing warnings and advising investor not to deal with the clone/unregulated investment firms.
FCA Warns Against Unregulated and Clone Companies
The FCA issued a warning against several unregulated and clone companies including the Blackstone 500 and Bronze FX. However, these financial brokers appear to be soliciting and accepting funds from UK residents without being registered with the regulator. FCA also said, “those firm is not authorised by us and is targeting people in the UK. based upon the information we hold, we believe it is carrying on regulated activities which require authorisation.”
Blackstone 500 is a financial broker offering trading services including currencies trading in forex, commodities, shares, indices, and cryptocurrencies. BronzeFX is a broker offering trading services of currencies, indices, CFDs and commodities. The FCA warning also contains details of unregulated and clone companies:
