The Canadian securities regulator, British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC), has issued a warning to investors’ community. Specifically, the Canadian supervisor is cautioning investors against dealing with Binary Options brokerage operating under the name BinaryTilt.
Is BinaryTilt scam or reliable?
The BCSC has been very active in protecting the investors aand supervising financial markets across BC. Earlier last week, the regulator has warned the public against dealing with BinaryTilt. The BCSC has added this Binary Options brokerage to its Investment Caution List.
BinaryTilt is operating online via binarytilt.com. Moreover, the parent company of the brokerage is Chemmi Holdings Ltd. The Binary Options broker claims to have an office at the following address: Suite 5 Courtyard The Old Monastery, Windhill Bishops Stortford, Essex, England, CM23 2ND.
Additionally, in the official announcement, the Canadian watchdog has stated:
‘A binary option is a type of option whose payout depends on whether the underlying asset (such as a stock, a commodity, a currency pairing, etc.) increases or decreases in value. Options are considered to be securities under the securities legislation in British Columbia (BC).
We recently became aware of Binary Tilt and that a BC resident was able to open a trading account with Binary Tilt.’
The BCSC has added that BinaryTilt has no registration to trade in, or advise on, securities or exchange contracts in BC. In addition, the regulator has stressed the importance of exercising extreme caution when dealing with companies that have no authority to trade or advice in BC.
Latest BCSC warning
The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) of Canada blacklisted the binary options brokerage firm GTOptions. The warning also included the name of MJ Vents Ltd. which owns and operates GTOptions. As per BCSC warning, the company provided an online binary options trading platform through their website www.gtoptions.com.
