The millions of monthly MyEtherWallet users will now be exposed to blockchain domain names, which are designed to simplify crypto payments with readable addresses.
Instead of using the 35 bulky alphanumeric addresses associated with crypto wallets, buyers of “. crypto” domains can associate the domain with their crypto wallet. It will allow them to use simple addresses such as “your name.crypto” when they ask for payments.
This collaboration will enable users of “Unstoppable Domains” to discover MEW’s integrated functionalities such as cryptocurrency swaps, management of non-fungible tokens and a decentralized financial portal MakerDAO.

Although not all browsers support the extension, Unstoppable Domains integrated with the Opera browser and launched a Google Chrome extension. Brad Kam, co-founder of Unstoppable Domains, welcomed this partnership with MEW:

Brian Norton, director of MyEtherWallet, said that as the registrar of .crypto, MEW offers its users “an easy option for engaging in the decentralized web”.

Censorship Resistance
The “.crypto” domains presented on Ethereum as “uncensorable” websites, not governed by and not requiring the approval of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). This means that they cannot be removed by domain hosting companies, unlike ordinary websites.
Unlike blockchain domain name services that only offer domains on one blockchain, Unstoppable Domains is blockchain agnostic. It allows its users to send or receive more than 50 different cryptocurrencies. Users also retain full control of their domains via a private key and can easily transfer ownership if necessary.
