NFA Board of Directors update: NFA Chairman Michael Dawley re-elected for one year along with Maureen Downs as a Vice-Chairman for two years

22 February, AtoZForex  One of the leading US regulatory authorities, National Futures Association (NFA), has re-elected two key members of its Board, Chairman and Vice-Chairperson. Michael C. Dawley, Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. got re-elected and will serve as a Chairman for another one-year term. Moreover, Maureen C. Downs, the President at Rosenthal Collins Group LLC, will serve as Vice-Chairperson for two-year term.

Mr. Michael C. Dawley is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co.  Mr. Dawley joined the firm in 1985. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he worked for E. F. Hutton and traded independently in the period from 1978 to 1982.

Dawley was elected as a Governor of The Clearing Corporation Inc. for three-year term in February 2000. Additionally, he served as a Chairman and Governor for The Clearing Corporation Inc. Mr. Dawley also served as Chairman at Futures Industry Association (FIA) during 2003, 2004, and from 2009 to March 2014. Furthermore, Dawley currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at FIA. Also, he was elected as IFM Chairman for a one-year term on March 13, 2014.

Last year in February, he was elected as a Chairman of the board of NFA for a one-year term, which he completed this year.

What do we know about Maureen C. Downs?

Maureen C. Downs is the President at Rosenthal Collins Group, which is an independent futures clearing firm. She is a certified public accountant. Maureen has decades of trading and business development experience. Ms. Downs began her futures industry career as a founding partner of Downs Capital in 1986.  She joined RCG as a Senior Vice President of Business Development in 1998. During her tenure, she spearheaded the firm’s entry into electronic trading.

Prior to entering the futures industry, Ms. Downs leveraged her business, law and accounting expertise in corporate finance for Fortune 100 companies as well as leading accounting and law firms. Maureen was elected to the board of directors of National Futures Association (NFA) in 2009. She also serves on the NFA Compliance Consultative Committee. Moreover, she has been a member of the FCM Committee of the NFA, the CME, and the CBOT.

The National Futures Association (NFA) welcomes both the members on board as the key members of its Board.
