FCA issued warning against Bit-Invest.com


July 28, AtoZForex - The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is still on its journey of protecting the interests of investors through warnings about unregulated activities and entities. Recently the watchdog has unmasked new fraudulent firm, warning the potential investors from cooperating with it. FCA warning against Bit Management Ltd was published just yesterday.

“We believe this firm has been providing financial services or products in the UK without our authorization. Find out why to be especially wary of dealing with this unauthorized firm and how to protect yourself from scammers.”

As it appears, Bit-invest.com is offering High-Yield Investment Programs (HYIP) on its website. As an example, one of the offers by Bit-invest.com, namely the Professional Investment Plan, states that it is possible to have a gain of 5000% daily. FCA stated that the company is not authorized by them but has been targeting people in the UK.

Furthermore, after the performed research about the Bit-invest.com, AtoZForex was able to understand that the firm is supposedly a fraudulent company, as a lot of individuals were referring to Bit-Invest.com as “scam.” Additionally, victims were saying that they weren’t “get paid at all” and that the firm “won't answer the emails.”

AtoZForex has tried to call to the company's office, but the number was not operational. Also, we have sent out the email to Bit-Invest.com and currently are waiting for the response.

The note from the regulator

As FCA warning against Bit-Invest.com has been issued, the regulator also reminds all the investors that “Almost all firms and individuals offering, promoting or selling financial services or products in the UK have to be authorized by us (FCA).”

Additionally, regulator highlights the importance of ensuring the fact of authorization of a company, when conducting any business. The investors can check whether the firm is registered or not on the Financial Services Register, provided by FCA. The Financial Services Register comprises all the names of the companies and individuals that are, or have been registered by FCA.

Furthermore, FCA reminds investors about the fact, that if they give money to an unauthorized firm, they will not be covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if something goes wrong.
