10 September, 2020 | AtoZ Markets – Financial Fraud has increased since lockdown began. The FCA is flagging the number of firms to raise awareness of online trading scams. The FCA keeps track of regulated and unregulated companies serving financial markets and frequently updates its warning list.
FCA Updates Warning List of Unregulated and Clone Firms
The UK FCA has added Capital Way/Eastridge Capital, HeadWay Capital, and several other firms to its warning list. The watchdog said, "those firms are conducting financial activities without the proper permission or regulation and are potentially fraudulent. It is advised to avoid doing business with them." FCA said fraudsters could use well-known brand names and personal names to pretend to be fraudulent legally. Companies offering regulated financial services must be FCA-approved. FCA argue investor to check the FCA register to find whether companies are authorized or not. To avoid clone firms, the investor should use the contact information provided in the register rather than the company's details.
