The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has briefly exceeded that of Saudi Aramco by breaking a record just under $2 trillion.
April 1, 2021 | AtoZ Markets – Amid another bullish trend in the cryptocurrency market, its total market capitalization reaches a new historic high with just under $2 trillion.
The market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies exceeded $1.9 trillion on March 31, according to data from major cryptocurrency monitoring resource CoinMarketCap. The total capitalization market reached $1.99 trillion at the beginning of day April 1, hitting a new high of all time.
After a subsequent correction, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies fell slightly, dropping to $1.89 trillion at the time of writing.
Upon reaching its new historical record, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies surpassed the market capitalization of oil and gas giant Saudi Aramco, the world’s second most valuable company in terms of market capitalization, after Apple. According to data from TradingView, Saudi Aramco’s market capitalization is around 7 trillion Saudi rials or $1.86 trillion at the time of writing.
After exceeding the market capitalization of Google’s shares by more than $1.4 trillion in February, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies continued to affect the largest companies in the world, including Amazon and Microsoft. At the time of publication, the respective market capitalizations for Amazon and Microsoft are $1.5 trillion and $1.7 trillion.
