In a bid to grow their user base, Chinese Cryptocurrency Exchange Huobi Launches Trading Platform in Australia. The fourth largest exchange in the world has started trading with digital coins exchanged for the Australian dollar.
6 July, AtoZ Markets – Huobi, a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange is rapidly expanding its global services as it has launched its exchange in Australia.
Cryptocurrency Exchange Huobi Launches Trading Platform in Australia
Trading has begun on Huobi’s newly-launched platform in Australia. This new branch will accept Australian Dollar transactions in exchange for 10 types of digital coins. The ten coins to be launched include the following:
- Bitcoin (BTC)/AUD
- Ethereum (ETH)/AUD
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH)/AUD
- Litecoin (LTC)/AUD
- Ethereum Classic (ETC)/AUD
- Power Ledger (POWR)/AUD
- Aelf (ELF)/AUD
- Cortex (CTXC)/AUD
- Data (DTA)/AUD
- IOST (IOST)/AUD
Meanwhile, Houbi announced that users should be patient as they make sure that more trading pairs are added in the near future.
According to the CEO of Huobi Australia, Adrian Harrison:
“Crypto-traders in Australia are increasingly knowledgeable and sophisticated, matched by a receptive regulator with interest in safely developing the market. For Huobi Group, the move to Australia is a natural fit for our technically robust platform. We are keen to partner with the growing numbers of Australian blockchain projects looking to list in a maturing market.”
Huobi to Partner With Australia’s Growing Blockchain Technology
In addition to the launch of another exchange into Australia, Huobi is taking steps further to support the development of blockchain in the country.
According to a local news outlet, the company will use its $200 million Global Ecosystem Fund and its consulting service to “partner with the growing numbers of Australian blockchain projects looking to list in a maturing market.”
While speaking on the new partnership, CEO of Blockchain Global, Sam Lee has been quoted as saying:
“Our strategic alliance with Huobi Australia represents our journey towards fostering mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, in Australia and around the world. With our technical expertise in running cryptocurrency exchanges and solid relationships with regulators, industry bodies and investors, we look forward to bringing Huobi Australia to the masses.”
