Central Option MSC warning post investigator cold call

22 April AtoZForex, Vilnius — An unusual case unfolds, as the Central Option MSC warning gets revealed by the Manitoba Securities Commission (MSC) senior investigator. The Canadian regulator issues the Central Option MSC warning after Jason Roy, the MSC senior investigator received an automated cold call from the Binary Options broker on the 11th of April this year.

The representatives of Central Options did not know that Jason Roy is a senior investigator at the MSC as well as a member of the Canadian Securities Administrator’s working group (CSA). In fact, Jason Roy has been combating these types Binary Options frauds for quite some time.

Central Option MSC warning details

Therefore, it was quite a surprise when Jason Roy received a phone call earlier in April from Central Option, offering him an “amazing investment opportunity”. The initial person on the phone line described himself as a Binary Options expert, and immediately Jason Roy immediately started to gather evidence. He presented himself as a high-value investor, meanwhile Jason Roy started to make notes and gather evidence. The senior MSC investigator stated:

“I grabbed my notebook, and after confirming some details with an operator, I was connected to an individual identifying himself as Sean Bessi. Bessi started to pitch me on the exact sort of illegal investments I’ve been investigating for the past two years. It was a bit surreal.”

Claims of “very safe” binary options trading

Moving along the conversation, Sean Bessi claimed to be working at the Toronto office of Central Option. He then started to impress Jason Roy about the various global offices of Central Option in Hong Kong and London. Yet, the most intriguing statement from Sean Bessi was that he explained trading Binary Options is a “very safe” investment activity. Building further, he said trading Binary Options is “not gambling” at all.

Hereafter, the Jason Roy was offered a $100 credit to start trading Binary Options along with a free education package. Once, the MSC senior investigator approved, he was then walked through the entire trading process. During the explanation, Jason Roy was suggested repeatedly to deposit funds on the new account through a credit card or bank wire. Lastly, Sean Bessi claimed that no taxes were involved on the profits that Jason Roy would earn.

Central Option Toronto doesn’t exist

Through the evidence gathered by Jason Roy, the Canadian regulator has since issued the Central Option MSC warning. Considering that Central Option is not registered with the MSC, hence not authorised to provide such investment services in the Manitoba region. Another vital discovery of the MSC is that the claimed Toronto office of Central Option does not even exist. Apparently the broker used a VOIP number to forward the calls from outside the country. Hence, the public is warned with Central Option MSC warning and details.
