Binance Helps Corona Virus Victims with Donation of $1.5 million 


The number of deaths caused by the new Corona virus is increasing day by day. Countless medical teams are going to Wuhan to support the victims. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance helps Corona virus victims with a pledge of 10m RMB donation, which is around US$ 1.5 million. Moreover, some blockchain and cryptocurrency companies have pledged to help coronavirus victims in Wuhan, China.

The Wuhan city has been closed by the Chinese authorities to minimize the impact of the Coronavirus. According to the New York Times report, more than 80 people have died from this mysterious virus so far. Moreover, more than 1000 people have been diagnosed in Wuhan. Besides, the concern grows as the epidemic spreads around the world. Indeed, confirmed cases of infected people had been reported in Europe, the Americas and other regions of the world.

Binance Steps Up for Humanitarian Causes

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, Binance CEO said that his company had pledged RMB 10 million (approximately $1.5m) to help corona virus victims. He apparently denied any use of the crypto assets in this. He also said, it is unrealistic to do crypto to end beneficiaries for the Wuhan outbreak.

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance is still working on logistics for this move. Binance CEO said that: 

“We have not made any announcements. But the BCF/Binance team has been busy in the last few days. We still need help to arrange logistics locally.”

According to the WeChat post of blockchain company Krypital also launched a charity donation of medical supplies for Wuhan coronavirus victims. It is expected that more firms will join the cause.

Binance Also Donated to Fight Australian Bushfires

It is not the first time that Binance has been charitable in times of need. Previously, Binance had donated $ 1 million to its native token BNB to help fight the devastating Australian bushfires. The bushfires had killed over half a billion animals and displaced many lives. Binance has been generous when it comes to helping humanitarian causes. Binance initially started in China and then transferred its activities to Malta for regulatory reasons. It also has invested in Chinese media firm Mars Finance.

The mysterious Coronavirus has caused panic in China. It is highly recommended to take extra measures at the time of such a tragedy.
