The month starts with a number of key news events, bringing opportunities for traders globally. Forex trading tip is to trade cautiously with NFP data release data on Friday. Should you be bullish or bearish on the USD, these are daily Forex trading tips.

High impact news: Thursday – 1st September

#1 CHINA – @2:00am BST

Manufacturing PMI – Previous 49.9; Forecast 49.9; Actual  50.4; Currency affected: CNY

Forex Trading Tips – Market expectation is no change since last month’s data, the forecast data indicated a slight industry contraction, however the  Actual released data showed a slight industry expansion.

#2 AUSTRALIA – @ 2:30am BST

Private Capital Expenditure – Previous -5.2%; Forecast -4.0%; Actual -5.4%; Currency affected: AUD

Forex Trading Tips –  Market expectation is for positive data, the Actual released data was worse than the Forecast data, the AUD depreciated.

#3 AUSTRALIA – @ 2:30am BST

Retail Sales m/m – Previous 0.1%; Forecast 0.3%; Actual 0.0%; Currency affected: AUD

Forex Trading Tips – Market expectation was for positive data, the Actual released data was worse than the Forecast data. This combined with the poor data from Private Capital expenditure resulted in the AUD depreciating.

#4 CHINA – @2:45am BST

Caixin Manufacturing PMI – Previous 50.6; Forecast 50.1; Actual 50.0; Currency affected: CNY

Forex Trading Tips – The data released was just below forecast and there was no change.

#5 UK – @ 9:30am BST

Manufacturing PMI – Previous 49.9; Forecast 49.9; Currency affected: GBP

Forex Trading Tips – Market expectation is for a slight industry expansion and the data to reflect this, however, if the Actual released data is worse than the Forecast data, it means that the GBP is expected to depreciate.

#6 USA – @ 1:30pm BST

Unemployment claims – Previous 261k; Forecast 265k; Currency affected: USD

Forex Trading Tips – The expectation is for unemployment claims to rise, this would be negative for the USD.  If the Actual released data is higher than the Forecast data, it means that the USD is expected depreciate.

Hint: Take into consideration the ISM Manufacturing PMI data released at the same time.

#7 USA – @ 3:00pm BST

ISM Manufacturing PMI– Previous 52.6; Forecast 52.0; Currency affected: USD

Forex Trading Tips – Market expectation is a slight dip in the data.  If the Actual released data is better than the Forecast data, it means that the USD is expected to appreciate.

Hint: Take into consideration the Unemployment Claim data released at the same time.

The AUD performance was mixed in the Asian session.

Forex Trading Tips – On intraday (H1 TF) the bias currently is on the bullish direction against the CHF, JPY and bearish against the CAD, EUR,  GBP, NZD,  USD.

Similar to the AUD, the CAD saw a mixed performance in the Asian session.

The GBP generally appreciate in the Asian session.

Forex Trading Tips – On intraday (H1 TF) the bias currently is bullish against the CHF, JPY and bearish/ neutral on the CAD, AUD, NZD and USD.  With the UK Manufacturing data release today, trade cautiously.

#11 JPY forex trading tips – In the Asian session we saw JPY appreciate in the early session before continuing to depreciate.

Forex Trading Tips – On intraday (H1 TF) the bias currently is on the BEARISH direction against the AUD, CAD, CHF and NZD. The overall bias is on the bearish side for the JPY in the European session.
