Stake.com has acquired Italy-based sports betting and remote gaming operator Baldo Line s.r.l, and its associated operator Idealbet.it, previously part of the Octavian Group.
The acquisition is part of Stake's strategy to enhance its market position and support its global expansion.
This move follows Stake's acquisition of Betfair Colombia in November 2023, marking its entry into the Latin American market. By adding Baldo Line and Idealbet, Stake aims to introduce a range of new gaming options to players in Italy, leveraging Idealbet’s established presence in the mature Italian market.
To support this expansion, Stake will open an office in Italy and expand its team. Idealbet will continue to operate under its own brand within the Stake portfolio.
